Wanted to alert neighbors with small dogs and cats that last night about 01:15 hrs, May 4th, I spotted a single grown coyote on MacManus. I was out walking one of our dogs and spooked the coyote when we walked outside.
He/She came from the Carnegie side of Macmanus and headed around Jones Park and into the alley behind our house. Despite our presence, the coyote didn't seem scared and I spotted him tracking us until I headed in his direction and he ran off.
Any neighbors with outside cats or small dogs need to be careful for the next few days. I have not seen one this close to the park before and would hate anything to happen to a beloved pet.
